Hello! My name is Carrie and I'm from Winnipeg, Canada. I live in a laid-back neighbourhood lined with big trees in a cozy apartment with my little red fish, Edmund. I spend way too much on getting food delivered, I'll drop everything for a good latte and some quality time, and I love any excuse to get out with my camera and explore more of my city.
A little bit about how I got here:
I fell in love with photography back in '09. I started photographing weddings while still in high school and absolutely fell in love with it. I moved to Winnipeg in 2011 and after juggling full-time work in radio plus my photography on the side for a few years, I decided to take a leap. I quit my job and attended the diploma program at Prairieview School of Photography. I'm so grateful for that year of intense learning and growing. I graduated in the spring of 2016 and I've been happily shooting nonstop ever since!
Two things you need to know:
1.) I'm gonna love you. Meeting new people is my top favourite thing, and I can talk wedding stuff alllll day long. I'm going to want every detail about how you met and how the proposal went down, and there's a very good chance I'll cry at your wedding (if the first look doesn't get me, the vows will). If I'm going to be a part of one of the biggest days of your life, I want it to be as a friend as well as photographer!
2.) I'm obsessed with catching those fleeting, magical moments that happen between people. The light, the love, the laughter. All the beauty and all the candid life in between. Nothing makes me happier than knowing you'll get to look back on your photos and remember exactly what that amazing day felt like.
